What She Found Really Hit Home

Sometimes the little things mean the most. That was the case with a quick note Colleen found when she we cleaning her kitchen. It’s a special feeling knowing someone is watching out for you. Colleen’s newest story is short but sweet.

  1. Finding the note she had written to you and Dennis from long ago is a great gift. I look forward to you trying out the muffin recipes.

    1. The beer muffins seemed to catch my mother’s attention but Colleen definitely raised an eyebrow to them. I’m not sure what will come from the recipes, but we shall see. 🙂

  2. I enjoyed your post because when I run across a memory like that it makes me stop and remember good time. It my be a note ,card, or trinket it is the samallest acts of love that you remember. Thanks for reminding me of this.

  3. Thank you Colleen, for the wonderful story of have it all began. I enjoy all the musing from the blog and the website. I have often wondered how it began for you and yours. It was my pleasure to enjoy the post and again ground me, as to what is truly important. 😀

  4. I read, each story, of Colleens, and loved each one of them. I laughed and laughed on the story of the boys arguing then Dennis standing over Louis, asking if he was alright. Thanks for the few moments of down time, I couldn’t stop at just one story had to read them all. 🤗

  5. Well, I dove right into this treasure trove and spent the entire day reading Colleen’s stories. From the time I settled in with my morning coffee, until I finished an afternoon snack, I was enthralled. Colleen’s stories hit home with a familiarity of a closeness with grandparents, and learning from them, to starting all over married to a teacher and a new blended family.
Thank you for a most enjoyable day!

  6. I read Dennis usual daily letter, then spotted Colleen’s, never knew she had one and was really great to hear more from her. How your all began life together was great to read, we do not know much background on the family. You have come together nicely, even with the occasional bump as we all have, and seem to be working just wonderfully. I started with her first story a
and I read every one. Great job Colleen!

  7. I was looking for your Sunday posting on FB. Couldn’t find it but found Colleen’s stories instead. Read them all and laughed with most of them. Thank you Colleen!!
