What Happened To Our Summer Break???

Not that summer is really over yet, but it might as well be not that school is started. Colleen told me to shut up when I reminded her there are only 180 days until next summer’s break. The more things change the more they stay the same and we changed our routine again last week. You can get caught up in the latest blog entry.

  1. Until my injuries put a stop to it, splitting wood was a joint chore. My husband would put the log on the splitter, I’d work the controls. Fortunately, all our wood is split and stacked in the 8x8x24 lean-to on the back of our garage so we don’t have to work with the wood for a few years, depending on the winters. It’s such a good feeling to get that chore done.

    1. Colleen helps when she can… I figure she does enough other stuff around here. Our log splitter is an 8-lb maul and occasionally a few wedges. Some days I do better than others… 😂 I’m hoping I can get more wood or we have a mild winter… I sure don’t feel like we have enough wood yet…😎
