We had a brief respite from the heat, but the temps will be rising again this week, although not quite as high as they have been. We had a little rain over the weekend and not a puddle is standing. Corn is more than knee high as a result. The most critical months of summer are ahead of us, however.
Our tomato plants are loaded, which makes us happy. The green beans will be bearing soon, and we bought some bacon to add to cooking them fresh. I prefer canned beans, myself.
Enjoy your granddaughter as much as you can. And enjoy Roux, too.
Thanks… no tomatoes for us this year. Squirrels like them too much. Our beans are starting to get flowers on them , so hopefully soon. Have a great day!
