Colleen and I spent all afternoon canning 60 pounds of Roma tomatoes. We ended up with 18 quarts for our larder. I managed to snap off some pictures over the course of the day so I added them to our Photo Gallery. It’s quite the production for us, rather easy, but a full blown production nonetheless.
You two canned tomatoes, my hubby and I canned 14.5 qts of green beans yesterday. The tomatoes we planted are mid-sized; smaller than Beefsteaks, larger than Roma’s. He picked 2 small, bite-sized tomatoes about half-ripe. We’ll likely eat them tomorrow and they’ll be 100x better than store-bought.
Fresh produce is always better than store bought…. Have a great day! 🙂
